Required skills and areas of knowledge:

  • BS/BA in computer science, electrical engineering or math
  • Development experience in C, C++, Python, Ruby, or Java
  • Experience with Unix or Linux operating system
  • Experience with relational database design and SQL experience
  • Strong object oriented programming and design skills

Desired skills:

  • Familiar with blogs, social software, RSS, web services, and XML
  • Experience with dynamically created web pages using languages such as Perl, Python, PHP or Ruby
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and ill-defined problems
  • Must work and communicate well with groups through email, design documentation and technical presentations
  • Strong desire to participate in product idea and feature development
